Moraira
Between Valencia and Alicante, only 35 km from Benidorm, surrounded by green pine trees and directly on the clear blue sea, you find the fishing village of Moraira. Known as the Pearl of the Costa Blanca.
Thanks to its protected South-East location has this area one of the mildest climates of the Mediterranean, with mild winters and warm, but thanks to a refreshing breeze, always pleasant summers.
Moraira used to be a small fisherman port, now also a tourist town with many cosy squares, terraces, bars and of course delicious seafood restaurants, clinic with Dutch doctor and dentist, and nightclubs.
The Spanish atmosphere here is good to taste: visit the old Castle of Moraira and the lookout tower that used to protect against pirates. And the impressive Marina, sheltered between the rocks of Cap Blanc and Punta de Moraira.
Beaches
The coast is made alternately from rocks and fine, child-friendly sandy beaches that very gradually coming off. The beaches are rewarded with the blue flag for clean and clear sea water. The largest Beach in Moraira is L'Ampolla, near City Center, at the foot of the old ' castillo '.
There is a playground, beach monitoring, a restaurant and a car park.
Another option is the sandy beach of El Portet boulevard, with some restaurants and terraces.
It is the most sheltered Beach in the area and therefore all year round, even in winter, enjoy the Sun by the rushing sea, possibly with a consumption on a terrace.

There is a modern marina in the village, with water sports such as sailing, Jet skiing, diving and fishing.
Other possibilities in Moraira and the surrounding villages are: hiking, cycling, mountain biking, a boat rentals, karting, horse riding, tennis, golf and padel.

L'alfas del Pi, Denia, Moraira: Friday (fruit and vegetables), Finestrat, Torrevieja, Oliva.
Saturday: Benissa, Calpe, Alicante, Alcoy, Pedreguer and super cosy rastro at Jalon.
Sunday: flea market (= Rastro) at Pedreguer.
Climate
Enjoy the finest climate of Spain that is valued by the Spanish themselves because of the mild summers and pleasant winter temperatures.
That is also the reason that many of them spend their holidays here in the area.

Points of interest
The Costa Blanca has many attractions and cultural excursions.
Pull the Inland you will find gorgeous mountain landscape with a pure Spanish culture. A visit to the city of Alicante with its medieval architecture, beautiful buildings and squares, the many shopping streets and the huge medieval castle "Santa Barbara" is recommended.
Or the beautiful Valencia with the historic area, with many eateries and super cosy shops but also the beautiful new architectural buildings.
Also worthwhile is the Palm forest just south of Alicante in Elche, the waterfalls of Guadalest, the cane braiding factory in Gata and the island of Tabarca.
The coastline is not line right so that the interesting coves, bays and sandy beaches does discover.
The pleasant and sunny climate throughout the year, makes it the ideal choice regardless of when.
The total of 8 kilometres of coastline with alternating sandy beaches such as El Portet or L'Ampolla and with quiet rocky coves such as El L ' Andragó or Cap Blanc makes Moraira very remarkable.

The nearby Benissa (8 km) has a beautiful Franciscan church and the picturesque medieval centre of Altea (25 km) is definitely well worth it.
At the foot of the natural park of Montgo is the interesting coastal town of Javea (14 km).
Along the beautiful coastal road to the South you will come after some 11 km at the impressive rock Penon de Ifach (332 m high).
In the Interior, with wild landscapes and mighty mountain peaks to get to via Guadalest (42 km).
This is the highest mountain of the province (1558 m) with a fantastic panoramic view.
